In February 2017, U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) released the video “A DARPA Perspective on Artificial Intelligence,” featuring John Launchbury, the Director of DARPA’s Information Innovation Office. GMCstreamTV Managing Editor Richard Kusiolek interviews at (SOFIC) Conference a Silicon Valley start-up Kyndi with Founder and CEO Ryan Welsh on how Artificial Intelligence promotes DOD SOCOM MIL anticipatory Decision-Making. “For me, the most important reason for a Third Wave is explain ability. Right now, Deep Learning systems can’t sufficiently explain to the average user how and why they arrived at a certain output… Our goal for the AI community in this Third Wave should be to enable the same capability in machines...Kyndi’s technology is based on groundbreaking new approaches to machine intelligence that combine insights from multiple areas of science.”This unique combination of science insights has allowed us to develop methods that map symbolic representations of knowledge into sophisticated numeric domains. When applied to reviewing text, Kyndi’s technology has the world’s richest depth of pattern matching and text review, allowing us to review vast amounts of textual information with a deeper clarity of understanding and reason.
Richard Kusiolek, Managing Editor GMCstreamTV has an important interview on cybersecurity with Trivalent's CSO, Rick Bueno. The U.S. Army has ordered nearby 10,000 new F110 G3 rugged computer tablets designed to transmit combat-relevant information in high-threat environments. The notebooks are made by Getac, a firm which has announced a partnership with Trivalent, which makes NSA & DOD security software. By partnering with Trivalent, Getac hopes to offer enhanced security technology to the Army through a NSA-certified data protection technology. The software incorporates Data Alchemy, a program designed to render the data unusable by any unauthorized party. Trivalent uses an encryption and shredding approach as a way to secure storage on a device or in the cloud.
Nett Warrior uses an emerging Army technology known as Joint Battle Command – Platform, a next-generation force tracking systems for both vehicles and dismounted units on the move; it represents the developmental trajectory sought by the Army which seeks to integrate advanced software for its emerging systems. The idea is to develop systems based on IP standards so they can quickly be upgraded as innovations occur.
