In February 2017, U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) released the video “A DARPA Perspective on Artificial Intelligence,” featuring John Launchbury, the Director of DARPA’s Information Innovation Office. GMCstreamTV Managing Editor Richard Kusiolek interviews at (SOFIC) Conference a Silicon Valley start-up Kyndi with Founder and CEO Ryan Welsh on how Artificial Intelligence promotes DOD SOCOM MIL anticipatory Decision-Making. “For me, the most important reason for a Third Wave is explain ability. Right now, Deep Learning systems can’t sufficiently explain to the average user how and why they arrived at a certain output… Our goal for the AI community in this Third Wave should be to enable the same capability in machines...Kyndi’s technology is based on groundbreaking new approaches to machine intelligence that combine insights from multiple areas of science.”This unique combination of science insights has allowed us to develop methods that map symbolic representations of knowledge into sophisticated numeric domains. When applied to reviewing text, Kyndi’s technology has the world’s richest depth of pattern matching and text review, allowing us to review vast amounts of textual information with a deeper clarity of understanding and reason.

  • Re- Published on Jun 1, 2017--XTAR operates at two orbital locations today.  "We are at 29 East where the XTAR EUR satellite operates. It is wholly owned by XTAR today, and it provides fantastic coverage throughout the Atlantic, Europe, Africa, and into Asia to about Singapore. We also operate a satellite at 30 West, and that is our XTAR-LANT (Spainsat) payload that is actually a hosted payload, so we are the hosted payload on what’s referred to as Spainsat, and that gives us reach East/West/through Denver. So there’s an overlap of the two satellites in sort of the Europe and Africa area. But I think more interestingly is as you can see, we were from our start built on the principle of hosted payloads. In fact, we both host and are hosted. LANT is a hosted payload on Spainsat, and the XTAR EUR satellite we host a backup payload for the Spanish MOD (Ministry of Defence)."
