RBC Signals is a multi-national company enabling an improved commercial-focused model for the delivery and processing of real-time data from satellites in Low Earth Orbit. Richins stated that RBC Signals is “the first and only provider in our sector using a shared economy model to leverage existing ground station infrastructure to deliver and process real-time data. Our competitive pricing is critical for commercial satellite operators to make their own business plans financially feasible as the global space sector continues to commercialize.” Richins closed a seed round of funding. This is notable because the company, which is led by space industry veterans and is doing something very entrepreneurial, is the only real-time satellite date delivery provider capitalizing on the sharing economy (much like Uber or AirBnB) to meet the needs of its commercial satellite operator customers.

Until 2014 Launches were conducted at Kazakhstan's Baikonur and Russia's Plesetsk Cosmodromes. Since the Crimean crisis, launches are conducted on Sea Launch's floating platform. NSAU has ground control and tracking facilities in Kiev with the other facilities in Yevpatoria, Crimea, and the control-measuring complexes in Yevpatoria were abandoned, while they are operating the control center in Dunaivtsi (Khmelnytskyi Oblast).

Space Systems/Loral LLC, Palo Alto, California, has been awarded a $15,000,000 firm-fixed-price other transaction for prototype agreement for the Robotic Servicing of Geosynchronous Satellites (RSGS) program. There are no options on the agreement. Fiscal 2016 research and development funds in the amount of $1,000,000 are being obligated at time of award. Work will be performed in Palo Alto, California, with an expected completion date of December 2021. This agreement was a competitive acquisition (program solicitation No. DARPA-PS-16-01). A great American Defense Contractor, Lockheed Martin, demonstrated a large portfolio of options to support U.S. Special Operations Forces USSOF in dealing with complex security challenges. LMCO’s INFIRNO targeting and ISR sensor supports those challenges through its applicability to ground, maritime and airborne platforms. The capability is also readily adaptable for future missions. Already the INFIRNO has been successfully tested on the BLACK HAWK helicopter and ground field trials. A must contract for the USA and NATO military forces engaged in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen.
